Tantalo has a great roof top terrace, popular for cocktails and sundowners, and offers fabulous views of Panama City and the bay - but it is also a good place to have lunch. We ate tapas-style, sharing three well-executed dishes - sea bass fish cakes with a caper cream, delicious octopus with ginger, chilli and coriander and finally, (slightly overdone) duck breast with a beetroot, honey and lemon dressing.
Most of the seating is at high bar-style/trestle tables - not a problem if you are with a big group of friends or if you are eating at a quiet time of day and have the table to yourself. There are only a few smaller tables.
