“Good Position”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

Exellent position .
Very confortable room with amazing wide shower .
Nice but small swimming pool with nasty noise from roof coolers
Ambience modern fushion .
Some of the employes were not fully professional .
The guys at the top were excellent .
Outside night life pretty active so do not complain if it is noisy . Just go to bed at 03.00 !!!!
GOOD

Room Tip: 3rd floor , no noise and windows in all the rooms .

Stayed two nights. Ideal for hipsters or wannabees... Garden rooms are just that, a room that has a garden "in it"... think terrarium... we passed... rather have the little bit of sun that came through the frosted windows... But the front desk was kind enough to accommodate us. Excellent front desk staff! Also superb bartenders. Beware throbbing technomusic plays in public areas, 24/7, even at breakfast. Room looked like it had been painted by a third grade class, unless splotches and dripping paint was the goal. Bath is the wide open concept, so expect little privacy in that area. Biggest issue is the taxi driver recommended by the hotel, who sits front. Really a thief posing as a transportation arranger. Loaded us into a van driven by his "brother" to take us to a restaurant, that our Panamanian friends said should have been no more than a $10 fare. Driver showed us an official looking sheet of paper that said the fare should be $35. We refused, paid $15, and reported him to the hotel. But next morning, there he was again. Hotel needs to address this issue. Also be aware that hotel is in a night club area. Good for some, not so much for others.

Room Tip: Don't book the Garden room!

I stayed for two days at The Manrey on a short stop over to Pamana City. The hotel is smart, trendy, clean, friendly. The roof top bar is a cool place to be with an outdoor swimming pool with fantastic city views.. Breakfast was OK, service OK. HEY! THERE ARE NO WINDOWS AT ALL IN THE BEDROOMS. You basically live in a enclosed box. I had booked the Garden Room, sounds good right? The room is very nice. Where the windows should be, is a full size mirror. The garden is 3 pots of plastic plants, sitting on gravel stuff. This is all inside the box, I mean room. NO NATURAL LIGHT, NO FRESH AIR. Air con is noisy. I stayed for 2 days, which is cool, it's a trendy hotel, and I can live in a box for 2 days. You'd be mad to stay longer though. Sorry guys, you know it's true.

Room Tip: Ask for the one room in the hotel with a window.

This hotel was perfect for our business trip. The lobby is very nice, and the fourth floor has a very nice pool and rooftop view. We stayed at the Manrey for about five days, and we didn't seem to have much to complain about. The rooms are very modern., and the beds are very comfortable! I couldn't figure out how to use the tv, but I was so exhausted by the end of the night, I really didn't need to use it. The bathroom was very nice and user friendly.

My only complaint is if you are a light sleeper, do NOT get a room on the third room. I heard the music from the rooftop at least three nights in a row and it was pretty loud! During the day time, the hotel is very quiet and peaceful. My boss had the food there and said that breakfast was great, and their menu wasn't bad.

Overall, this hotel was great. The staff was very friendly. Oh, one last thing, there was a lady at the front desk who was extremely slow and semi rude. She never thanked us for our stay and never helped us get change/cash when we needed it.

I would recommended staying here.

Room Tip: If you want a peaceful and quiet night of sleep don't request a room on the third floor.

We stayed at the Hotel Manrey on April 13th. We choose this hotel for its location, modern design and pool. The room was very nice, modern and guests were greeted with pastries in their room and a welcome drink in the lobby. We were very pleased with the amenities the hotel had to offer. They were happy to hold our bags for us prior to check in and after check out. I did have a few issues with some of the staff and hotel practices. The hotel did have taxi service but the taxi was extremely overpriced. We were quoted $60 to go to the Miraflores locks using a hotel taxi, when we were able to secure the same taxi on the street for 1/2 the price. The same applied when inquiring for service to the Airport. Prior to leaving for the airport on Sunday at about 3 pm, I asked the receptionist if I could leave post cards at the front desk to be mailed. He examined each post card closely and then said that for $5 he would be able to mail them for me the next day. I declined and mailed them from the airport. I was pretty taken back by this practice. There was also an inconsistency in the bellhop staff. Some were in uniforms while others were in plain clothes. I felt that the plain clothes employees were trying to over solicit tips for unfinished jobs, like the stowage of luggage. Apart from these experiences where staff could use refinement in customer service, I was happy with the hotel.

I like this hotel . It was very trendy and vibrant .the rooftop pool/bar was fun and the staff is very helpful . They treated us like royalty and even held our bags for two days .the rooms are clean and open I also liked the shower very much. We had a balcony that was covered with privacy glass and the bed was comfortable . It's not the kind of place that quiet people would enjoy . The atmosphere is upbeat , it's on calle Uruguay which is a party street so beware if your looking for peace and quiet . I would go there again anytime :)

Room Tip: Ask for the balcony rooms

We stayed at Manrey on a Sunday night in room 104. We had an enclosed balcony and nice bathroom. Good food in walking distance. On Calle Uruguay. It was a 10 minute trip to Albrook airport for $11 taxi.
