I went to Nicaragua for matters of my master thesis. I stayed in Managua a few days and despite that is a very disorganized city, I really like it! The reasons: People are really friendly and nice, they are happy enthusiastic people despite of all the poverty and difficult political instability of the country. The natural places were incredible, even in Managua. You have to visit Laguna de Tiscapa, a natural lagune just in the middle of the capital! I stayed at Hotel Boutique La Antigua, a family-run business and for the price it has, it was more than what I was expecting. I would recommend to visit Managua to anybody who wishes to see life at its most real way while enjoying natural sites!
