We stayed at Hotel Mozonte and walked to this restaurant often for both lunch and supper. The area is safe to walk in, but if you have a car, they have a nice parking lot. The air conditioned restaurant is beautiful with a fountain in the centre, and an outdoor bar. We ate a number of meals there, and the prices are higher than typical Nicaraguan restaurants, but still cheaper than a similar place in North America.
They always serve you deep fried taco chips and salsa (instead of the typical break we are used to), while they get you your drinks. It is delicious, and they will bring more if you ask.
The best meal I had was the quesadillas. I had the one without meat and it was excellent. On one occasion I had the potato skins, and it was good, but I've had better. The Fajita's are excellent and someone in our group always ordered them and we all really liked them. The fish was a disappointment, being very dry and tasteless.
Great pictures of the restaurant are here: http://peterinnicaragua.blogspot.com/2011/02/restaurante-santafe-managua-nicaragua.html
