I have stayed here several times and it is fair. The price is not great for what it is but not too bad. It feels safe the rooms are clean and the pool is nice if you have just come in on a flight or are just passing the night for a morning flight. On the other hand I have had problems here with....septic back up in another part of the hotel that smelled bad in other parts of the hotel. Over charges on things and lost reservations. Over all the only reason I have stayed here is because it is close to the airport.

We stayed at the Hotel Camino Real in November 2007.

Very convenient to the airport, safe and clean with modern American style rooms. It is a half mile from the Managua airport. I like the pool under the palm trees, great for a swim when you get off the plane.

The breakfast buffet had a lot of good American style food, cost $10 extra plus 15% tax. Not included in room price. A very good breakfast. Not gourmet, but good. Waiters were very friendly.

I didn't use the hotel phone, didn't want to pay exorbitant rate. I used my phone card. I thought all the staff were very helpful. Casino is next door, I took a peek but did not gamble there. Downtown Managua is 20 minutes away.

Stayed one night to be close to the airport. Excellent choice for this purpose only. The hotel is large, safe and clean. The pool was very relaxing and poolside waiter service was a convenient suprise. Prices are above average for Managua although having the convenience of being able to charge everything to your room is a plus. The food in the restaurant was only average and comparable to Sizzler.
Here's the bad news, it seems the front desk likes to nickel and dime you for every transaction and give you poor exchange rate switcheroos. Please double-check your checkout tab and make a fuss with management to get mistakes fixed.
Other than the front desk run in, the amenities are good for a weary foreign traveler.

Fine for a bed, don't expect much in terms of service or food. However the waiters in the restaurant went out of their way to be helpful.

This is a typical roadside hotel in a large city. Very safe, reasonably clean, decent beds, and VERY convenient to the airport. Only stay here if you have a need to be close to the airport.

Smoke-filled casino is next to the hotel (20' away) if you want it.
