“Villa Maya June 2013 Llanes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

I would highly recommend this location to anyone with a family. It is quiet, beautifully kept, secure, and the staff were great. The grounds are immaculate. Fenced in for security, and very well kept. The location is close to a major roadway for easy access to downtown Managua. The staff were top notch. They provided my family and I with everything we asked for. More we could not have asked of them. The cook was excellent. The food was made from fresh ingredients, and made to order at anytime of day or night. The room was clean, and spacious for four adults. The hotel provided taxi services, which were a bit more expensive than you could find elsewhere, but very reliable. I really can't think of one negative thing to say about this place. It was great.

The best service we have received in Nicaragua, Vilma and her staff are attentive and made us feel completely at home during our stay. We were at the end of a one week road trip around Nicaragua and we returned to Managua to drop off the rental car. Since we had a car we scouted out several hotels in Managua first hand and found them all to be lacking in one or more departments, finally we headed out to Hotel Villa Maya even though it was a little over our budgetted price range, we were glad we did.
We were welcomed by the very friendly staff and enjoyed an excellent meal in the dining room. Instead of the constant noise of the capital we enjoyed the tranquility of the embassy district where Villa Maya is located. In the morning, I got up early to drive the car back to the rental agency and found Vilma had ordered two of her staff to wash a week's worth of mud off the rental car, picked up driving around Nica in the rainy season - Vilma refused to accept payment for the work done, all part of the excellent service. This would have been a major hassle otherwise because the rental car agency went over the car with a fine tooth comb when I dropped the car off that morning.
The taxi trip from Villa Maya to Granada is something I found to be a bit expensive but an extra $10 is good insurance considering how dodgy some of the taxis can be in Managua.

The hotel is a gem in the middle of Managua, small and intimate with friendly staff and owners. Rooms are decorated tastefully and the bathroom is oversized. I loved seating on the portal in the mornings having breakfast and drinking tea, all included in the price. The woman at the front desk was always extremely helpful, calling cabs, sending faxes, whatever we needed. Rare find.

I just stayed at the Hotel Boutique Villa Maya for two weeks and have nothing but good things to say about my time at the hotel. Spacious clean rooms, courteous staff that provides good service, good internet access, and a garden to allows you to feel and hear the peaceful sounds of nature. My favorite part was having breakfast in the morning contemplating the garden and listening to the birds sing.

It was our first trip to Managua, so we decided to give ourselves a treat. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful, though the hotel isn't far from a main street where it's easy to catch a taxi. The staff are so kind and helpful! The day clerk went out of her way to find a good map of Managua for us and gave us some great tips for catching a cab and getting around the city. The room was quite comfortable and quiet. We highly recommend this wonderful place!

We live in Nicaragua year round and when the cliff side view and beaches get a little stale:-) we head into Managua for a few days. This small hotel in an old colonial home is beautiful. The staff there are a group that really knows what customer service is. The neighborhood is quiet but close to Ola Verde and other great places. The manager Orlando should be offering instruction to other hotel employees in Nicaragua

The Hotel Boutique Villa Maya is very close to urban Managua. i was in a single; a large airy room, with a lovely bathroom and shower. Absolutely as clean and pristine as a brand new facility. I had a beautiful view over a clean pool, with greenery and lots of flowers. They provide a Spa-like atmosphere with quiet staff and prompt service. Internet accessibility is a plus. Great coffee and food. The only place to stay in Managua!
