Motherland statue is the biggest monument in Kiev. The main sculpture - the figure of a woman with a shield and a sword in hands - was made of slab stainless steel and erected on a 40-meter cone pedestal.
Under this figure it's "The National Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", so if you will visit Kiev, it will be a great choice to kill two birds with one shot.
Last year, elevator inside Rodina Mat' was opened, so there is a panoramic view area for visitors at the level of 36 meters, and it cost 50UAH per person.

I advice everyone to visit this museum and you will remember it all your life.
