After 6 weeks of veg, the odd bit of chicken and pork, it was nice to get back to Kiev for a decent bit of meat. As we had visited previously, and it was just around the corner from our accomm, we decided to go again. As a bonus, one of our group picked up some info cards which stated that they entitled you to a 20% discount. A large group of us turned up, and were accommodated in the veranda area. A few of us immediately ordered the steak, whilst others had Ravioli, Carbonara, Pizza and such. As usual, the food really was superb. The Ravioli, Pasta and Pizza were as good as anything in Italy (i should know, my family is Italian, they live there, so i visit frequently!). The steaks were perfectly cooked and very tender. Having warned everyone off the "pricey" water, we ordered wine, beer and a few cocktails. The mohjito was excellent and very reasonably priced. We also ordered a few desserts. I had a sorbet which was gorgeous. My colleague had the Apple pie Torta di Mele) which i thought was a bit unadventurous, but after tasting it, had wished that i'd ordered it as well. It was stunning! Although cheap by EU standards, it's not particularly cheap for Kiev, though not excessively so. However, when we presented the discount card and got 20% taken off the bill, it really was excellent value. If you want authentic Italian food in Kiev, I doubt you will find a better place. Enjoy!
