Very good food with a lot of french exquisite options.
However very touristy and as expected expensive.
However, I would go again.

“My favourite restaurant in Kiev”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2012

During my trips to Kiev I have been eating at more than 100 restaurants, from budget Puzata Hata to expensive Da Vinci Fish Restaurant. However, in my opinion Vernissage is one of the best restaurants.

Vernissage has 4 bistro restaurants in different areas in Kiev. I have only tried the bistro in Andriivskyi Descent. Unfortunately, the restaurant is difficult to find, mostly because it's not easily accessible on the very steep street Andrew's Descent.

The bistro itself is beautifully designed like a real french bistro. The menu is with pictures of the food, and the size of the courses are plenty. The price is above average for restaurants in Kiev, but not very much. The wines (imports from France, Italy etc.) are very reasonably priced.

At my first visit the total price for 2 persons was 900 UAH (110 USD), the second time 1,000 UAH (125 USD). This is pretty expensive for Kiev standards, but remember that the price includes starters and main courses for 2 people, cheese, wine, water and vodka.

At both my visits the bistro has been very empty. What a shame, since this restaurant deserves more clients. If you're in Kiev I highly recommend you to visit this place.

We had breakfast there - waiter mixed up everything he could. Quality of food was very poor. Croissants were not fresh.
