“Nice rooms near the Knez Mihajlova street”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2011

Cosy rooms in a vicinity of Kalemegdan fortress and main shopping street in Belgrade with parking space. There are only 6 rooms without restaurant or breakfast room. The breakfast is served in your room which is OK. The biggest problem is old doors without sound isolation and you can hear all the guest talking with the reception desk. The price for those kind of lodging is higher than you expect, and you do not get bath amenities for single use.

Room Tip: Room number 5 or 6

We arrived on an overnight train at about 8 a.m. on our check in day. We knew it was too early to check in, but stopped at the hotel to drop our bags before finding breakfast and doing some sightseeing. The staff was so friendly. Our assigned room wasn't ready, but they moved us into a larger room so we could shower and relax after our train trip.

The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, and our bathroom was huge, with a massive shower with a rain feature overhead, steam, lights, music, etc. It was the perfect way to unwind after "sleeping" on the train.

The breakfast was ok, but we preferred to go out anyway. Overall, we were impressed and had a great stay.

As for Belgrade...... Not the best city of our trip, in fact probably at the bottom of the list. Most of the museums were closed, and the tourism information office was practically worthless. We went to buy double decker bus tour tickets, and were advised they were shutting it down the next day, so no hop on hop off tour was available. Probably because there is nothing open to see.

On my last day I had to visit the dentist. Check out is 12 o clock. I was back at 12:15 and found my baggage packed at the reception!! The owner decided not to wait for 30min or to charge me one more day!!! They just packed my things. My privacy was not important. When I asked the lady how it was possible to do such a thing she simple answered that the new guests have already arrived! No privacy and no respect for guests. I have never had such a experience in my life and I travel a lot.

This is one of the few hotels in Belgrade that offer value for money. The location is excellent, the staff is very friendly (which is also not common in Serbia). The only drawback is the breakfast, which is brought to your room, but lacks in quality. Bathrooms are modern. I would definitely return to this place.

This villa is an old single storey house which has been renovated into a small hotel. It only has 5 rooms and there are no common rooms, that's why continental breakfast is brought to the room. I travelled with a friend, we stayed 3 nights and had the first room next to the main entrance.

Although the room faced the road we found it to be quiet, very pleasant and clean. There was a double and single bed in the room but it was still spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful but unobtrusive. I made the reservation by phone without having to leave a deposit or credit card details. Checkout isn't until midday.

We paid 120 Euros per night for the room which I thought was a little steep but the location cannot be beaten. You're in the centre of everything, right next to Kalamegdan Park and within walking distance of sights, good shops, excellent restaurants and bars. It's obviously an upmarket area so very safe and quiet.

I would definitely stay here again.

This is the closest to a boutique experience one can get in Belgrade, though decor, colors and carpets look like they'd need an infusion of boutique hotel venture capital.
However everything is spotlessly clean, and the team immaculately, professionally hospitable and helpful.
And - as mentioned - the location is perfect: all one needs is in a 5 minute walking radius, 24/7.

We loved it! The room was massive (there was two of us in a triple room), very clean and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. There was a modern air-con unit which we really appreciated (coming from Scotland to 36 degree heat!) and a massive flat screen tv. The location was superb - right under the old fort and a short walk to the main pedestrian street. If this was a standard hotel you would expect to pay twice the price.

My only criticisms would be potentially the noise - we were ground floor at the front with a bar opposite. Could be a bit noisy at weekends, but with the windows closed (and the air-con on) we didn't hear a peep. The breakfast wasn't brilliant, but it was adequate.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and will be staying there again.
