“Friendly atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

The fact that the waiters are owners of Restaurant is what is the most important thing;
they behave as the Restaurant is their home and that is the sicret...
Starters: try chees and season salat, with great variety of local brandy
Main dishes: Cevapcici, reebs and the best one "salta boca"...also young lamb and veal meet...
I prefer also cooked meals such as beef with vegetable
Vines: variety of serbian wines (both red and white), also have their house wine
Sweets: try Nougat cake
Coffie: espresso is execelent

Highly recomended

“Great place to taste local food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2012

If You happen to be in Belgrade and want to taste good local food, this is the must. This restaurant offers great choice of local dishes, but also nice choice of international cuisine, at very low price. My wife and I are regular guests,having lunch there every Friday. Depending on season there is a nice variety of food. But, one is 24/7, each and every season. Wide choice of gdrilled meat such as chevapchichi, burgers, chicken liver in bacon, tripes or lamb roast. Lots of salads (in winter do not miss ajvar - minced baked spiced paprika). Try special summer menu (lighter dishes due to heat). Wine list offers lots of local wines, but also some interenational wines. I am not into sweets, but my wife says that it is also OK. Waiters are friendly (my wife and I even got a present from them last Christmas), speaking languages, ready to help you choose food and wine. Located in the heart of downtown Belgrade (in Hotel Slavija), Slavija sq., with fine food and service and cost per person of 10 - 15 Euros, and fully packed with locals, what more would You ask for. Once You come waiters will remeber You, and next time will greet You as a regular customer. Highly recomended.
