Thought I'd post a review as I'm shocked by the other reviews for this hotel I've seen.
We went there mid July and managed to stumble by it purely by choice. As soon as we walked in the decor was a grandiose Italian marble theme with a full size piano and statues all over the place. A bit garish for our tastes, but it oozed elegance.
Fortunately, the staff were very accommodating and managed to find us a nice room even though we hadn't booked. It was around 80 euros for the night, which is expensive by Serbian standards, but we just wanted somewhere nice to rest our heads.
The room was a good size - not overly massive but two double beds and a nice large wardrobe to share. You get the usual modcons, a fridge, safe and air con (which which was a godsend), however the star of the show was the worlds most crazy shower that actually played music and flashed lights like some combination of Johnny 5 and a really average waterpark. Totally random but one of the best showers I've seen in ages.
Breakfast was also good - standard buffet affair but with some nice local Serbian treats. I very much enjoyed it.
There's apparently a free gym and sauna, however we didn't bother to check it out. WiFi is also free throughout the hotel and we had no problems connecting to it.
Overall, I can't recommend this hotel enough. It was clean, tastefully decorated, attentive staff and all the facilities you need. Oh, and the location directly opposite the railway station and 5 minutes from city centre is ideal.
Enjoy! make sure to check out my other reviews for some nice restaurants at Port Belgrade
