Stayed for 2 nights mid-week on business.
This hotel is modern, clean and comfortable, and in a good location near the renovated parts of the city centre. It is on a fairly quiet street, with a few shops and restaurants about 100 metres away.
Check-in was efficient, and a bit brusque, but you come to expect that sort of service in Romania.
The room (205) was great, with panoramic windows, nice neutral decor, and a modern bathroom. I would say the room, and decor in general, was more like any modern chain in Europe e.g. Malmaison, Golden Tulip, and did not possess a 'boutique' feel. Very pleasant, however. The shower did leak a bit, but that didn't bother me. No bath.
Public areas were nice, the main problem was that they were so quiet, I thought I was the only guest ! In the evening I sat in the lounge alone, surrounded by 3 or 4 staff watching TV (in Romanian of course). Some background music would have been welcome.
Did not try room service, or eat anything except the free breakfast, which was adequate but did not include any hot items.
Would probably stay again, it is better value than the big chains, but it would be nice if the place had a bit more of a 'buzz'. Next time here I will try Golden Tulip or Novotel.
