I keep staying at Moxa everytime I am in Bucharest for business. I prefer this boutique style to the big hotel-factories. Staff is very helpful. Rooms a bit small, but adequate. They're clean and serviced even twice a day. Breakfast offers variety of stuff with a great espresso (cappuccinos as well as noticed) complimentary. Hotel is located in the very center of the city. Rooms overviewing park and Calei Vittorei may be a bit louder, rooms at the back (Moxa str) are silent. Air-con is working quite loudly. Beds and pillows are of the high quality. There is a safe deposit in each room which is useful. Wi-fi is very slow.

I loved this hotel so much. Granted, I didn't care for its location - but I was on my first trip (hopefully of many) to Bucharest and didn't really know what to expect. I loved the rooms, first I should say, especially the bathrooms. Also appreciated the free internet. The people at the desk were very lovely and helpful about where to go and what to eat, nice ladies! And last, but not least, the breakfast in the morning was yum! I cannot wait to return to Bucharest and you bet when I do, I'll be staying here.

...okay so I'm used to hustle and bustle of Bucharest now, but all the same it's nice to find a hotel that is a haven. I stayed in the older building which has been sensitively restored and while I booked a single the room was of a good size and decorated in a boutiquey style; no bath, but a great shower with sufficient water pressure for the mist setting which is a pleasant way of decompressing after pounding the streets of Romania's capital in 35 degree heat. A/C is good. In the room you can plug in your laptop, and the hotel will lend you one if needed. Good variety of channels on the TV including HBO and CNN, though families will need to exercise supervision over kids as the adult channels are freely available - for others that may be a bonus!

Contrary to previous reviewers overlooking the very pleasant courtyard, I heard no sounds, but that may be because my room was recently built/refurbished, certainly it had double glazing. Also the staff were helpful and friendly - the taxi firm they will call for you is reasonably priced 1.59 lei/km, and the car I had was air conditioned.

The breakfast is a decent cold buffet, with meats, cheeses, veg, cereals and pastries - though the croissants are plain odd, covered in icing sugar or chocolate. Coffee is great.

I paid 176 GBP for three nights via Expedia which was a really good deal given that the rack rate for a single is 175 Euros per night.

From the airport, get the 783 bus to Piata Victoriei and then walk down Calea Victoriei about 500m the hotel is on the right opposite a small park.

I staied in many boutique hotels, but Moxa is the best one. Great rooms, great services, great breakfast, all you could want, you have. I recommand this boutique hotel, is the best in Bucharest (and I also stayed in other boutique hotels like Rembrandt or Papu, also very nice hotels).

I've been in Bucharest for 4 days (2 weeks left in my business trip) So far I couldn't be happier with Hotel Moxa. The staff are very helpful and courteous (even when I wasn't at my most friendly due to many hours of walking in the heat!) and they have not only a very relaxing lounge inside, but a huge courtyard outside. Great when you want to unwind at the end of a long day. The rooms are immaculately clean and the complimentary breakfast is excellent - all kinds of fruits, pastries, meats, cheeses, smoked salmon, fresh cut veggies, breads, cereals, juices, milk, coffee, cappuccino, espresso, etc. The set the dining area beautifully so your day is started off perfectly.
Everything (and everyone) in Bucharest smells like cigarette smoke, but somehow this hotel escapes the stench. Directly across the street is a very pretty and tranquil park - probably why it's so quiet at night.
