I spent the last 24 hours of my trip in lovely Romania, in Bucharest. I stayed the night at the Hostel Miorita, right on Strada Lipscani. It was great to stroll along Strada Lipscani (and the neighbouring streets) in the early afternoon, in September sunshine, and to sit at a pavement cafe. I was on my own, but felt completely safe going out to eat (at a good restaurant) in the evening, and walking back.
In the morning I had an excellent breakfast at the City Grill, and then wandered about, going in and out of small, interesting shops.
