I love the place...go there for a classical concert or just to visit the building...one of the most beautiful buildings on Calea Victoriei...if you are an art lover visiting Bucharest, Enescu Museum is a must

“Not worth the admission price unless you really like the composer”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2010

From the outside, this was easily my favorite building in Bucharest. It is spectacular and well kept. I was excited to go inside, and while I realize it's a museum dedicated to George Enescu, I thought the building itself would be just as impressive. While I am certain it is, I was disappointed that entry to the 'museum' only allowed entry into maybe a third of the first floor, and none of the second floor. (You also get admission into George Enescu's house in the back lot, but that's not as interesting.) As with many Romanian museums, it's cheap to get in (6 lei I think) but to take pictures costs far more than it's worth (30 lei), especially since you only see a tiny part of the building.

It appears to be free to walk around the building inside the gates. Unless you really are into Enescu, I would suggest you make the trip to admire this building from the outside, but not spend the time going in.

“Wonderful Tribute to Composer”

IF you have any interest in classical music, don't miss this lovely museum filled with Enescu's memorablia. For an even closer venue visit hissummer home outside of Sinai.
