The Majestic is well placed in the heart of the city but well insulated from traffic noise. Our room was fairly small but recently refurbished , clean and well equipped in standard business hotel style. With temperatures of 40 degrees outside we were very grateful for the effective air conditioning. Breakfast was very good, although the range of hot food was limited as is common in Romania. There were only a small number of non-smoking tables and these were in range of the smoke haze, but again this is a common problem. Staff on reception were very helpful whenever we needed them and spoke excellent english. We did not dine in the hotel as their offering was limited, but thre are plenty of options nearby and we particularly liked the lakeside restaurant in Cismigiu Gardens. Overall, good value for a good quality city centre hotel.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. The room was nicely furnished with all that one needs. The bathrooms were obviously recently redone. There is great waterpressure from the showers and plenty of hot water. The breakfast, which is included, is a buffet style breakfast with breads, meats, cheeses, cereals, jams, etc. The bar/lounge area is nice, but pricier compared to most regular restaurants in the area for drinks. It also closes at 11pm, which is earlier than one would think. The hotel is central to most of the major sites and close to a metro station.

The review that appears above and gives the hotel a "neutral/average" rating is for a hotel with a similar name located on the Black Sea coast in Mamaia. Obviously, this is an error, as this hotel is actually located in Bucharest and is nowhere near the beach.

That being said, this is a nice small hotel with a complementary buffet breakfast (a very good one!) and a very lovely bar area that has a varied menu of drinks and deserts. The rooms are average - not terribly large, but not small either and have everything you would need - A/C, TV, desk, safe, etc. The service staff is helpful and courteous. There is also a business center on the 2nd floor. The location is excellent - walking distance to shopping, many of the sites, old historic center that is in the process of renovation.

A nice hotel right on the beach with free sauna and swimmingpool ( pool area could have been bigger) and with walking distance to the center of Mamaia. Staff speaks good english and the room prices are reasonable and one of the best I found in this class in the area ( best prices on the internet). Make sure you get a room on the poolside or you will be overlooking a carpark. The hotel has a big garden area with different restaurants and a little "zoo" with birds. It allso serves the best beakfast I`ve ever got outside scandinavia!
