Two Romanian friends took me here because it offers very good food in their neighborhood at a reasonable price, and it was open on the evening preceding Easter all the way up to the midnight service at a nearby church. They didn't have sarmale -- a Romanian signature dish of minced pork wrapped in cabbage. The waiter said they make it only for graduations or some other special occasion. We started off with ciorba de burţa, or tripe soup, made with garlic. Pork sausages and chunks made up the entree, and dessert was tort de biscuiţa -- a multi-layered chocolate cake. Service was helpful without hovering. A good place for traditional Romanian food.
