5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

I walked into this restaurant by chance having the luck to get table without reservation.
atmosphere and high quality Chinese products, not the best Chinese food I have tasted, but among the best.
highly recommend chao mian with beef.
prices are reasonable, a full menu cost about 20-25 Euro

“Okay food. Tiny portions. Ultra-friendly servers.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

Staying at the Minerva Hotel.
Nan Jing restaurant is inside the hotel.

I ordered something simple: Chicken soup and chicken chow mein.

The chicken soup was a little odd, but tasty. The chow mein was very tasty, but it was served on a plate the size of a coffee-cup saucer. If the chow mein was intended to be side order, I wish the server had explained this. If it was intended to be a main course, it was smaller than a typical child's order.

Bottom line: Food good. Service great. Portions smaller that even small European portions.

“Chinese for people who never had Chinese before”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

This is the worst chinese restaurant I have ever been to. The food probably has not changed from the time it opened in the communist era. Back then I suppose Chinese as we know it would not have been accepted, so they changed all recipes to cater for Romanian tastes. Unfortunately they have not thought to update, since there are now a host of restaurants in the city who serve exotic food. Really quite a shame.
