“Central hotel with excellent service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2012

We stayed for one night here recently and really enjoyed it. The staff were extremely friendly and obliging. Our room was a little on the small side And a little tired but perfectly fit for purpose of a very central city hotel. Once you stepped outside the doors you are in the hustle and bustle of Zagreb which was great. Breakfast was perfect, the expected continental breakfast and was eaten in the lovely courtyard area. Overall, thought it was perfect city centre hotel and would stay here again.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2012

I spent one night at Hotel Jägerhorn in late April 2012. The key about this hotel is its location: in the heart of the city, very close to the main square and immediately below the upper town. Other than that, staff was friendly, English was no problem, breakfast was good and the room was clean and comfortable, if a little bit on the small side. A disappointment was that their "terrace", which dominates the photos on their own website and on the common booking sites and which I expected to spend a nice evening on, was not yet open. Without that terrace, Jägerhorn is a rather normal hotel in a great location at a reasonable price.

Superb location close to everything in old town. Very nice rooms with good beds. Quiet surroundings though in city center. Great level of service from reception. Very good breakfast.
Highly recommendable!

Hotel Jaegerhorn is very convenient to the sights in Old Town, the trams to connect with sights a distance from the center, and within walking distance to most important sights in Zagreb.

Room Tip: If the weather is hot, get a room on the first floor.

Location is perfect. Easy walk to every major attraction in Zagreb. At the same time, it is off the street in a quiet passageway. The room was very good with a friendly and competent staff. Great car parking. Very good breakfast. Very understanding when it came to an arrival problem due to a missed air connection,

The hotel is in a perfect location for getting around Zagreb. Right in the middle of the city but still nicely located in a quiet passageway. Clean and comfortable rooms with an oldies, homely feeling. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Loved the little touches of personality with breakfast ;) and the possibility of having it out on the patio when weather allowed.

This hotel is an excellent choice for exploring Zagreb, within a very short walking distance of most things you would want to visit and some lovely restaurants..

Reception was wonderful, kind attentive and full of information. Thank you Davor for your restaurant recommendations – thanks to you we had an excellent lunch at Stari Fijaker, after our delightful dinner at Trilogija the night before. The girl was also wonderful (I am so sorry I have forgotten your name!), who upon our return to Zagreb from the Plitvice Lakes (which btw are absolutely stunning, a true wonder of the world) allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel for the day so that we could squeeze in an extra day of sightseeing. Really kind and much appreciated!

The whole hotel felt very new, really nice showers. It is on Ilica, which is a really long road in Zagreb. We walked from the station where the airport bus (run by Croatia Airlines, leaves every half an hour) drops you off in about 20 minutes. It is the oldest hotel in town and behind a gated entrance/passageway, which gets shut at 10 pm. There is however 24 hour reception – you just need to buzz and you are in within seconds.

A very excellent choice for a break in this really cool town.
