“Great hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2014

This hotel has great rooms and a fabulous breakfast buffet with many hot and cold selections. The staff were friendly and helpful. It takes 10 - 15 minutes to walk to the old town, same distance to the bus station. Complimentary ice tea, water and cookies are available in the lobby. A great choice when staying in Zagreb.

We stayed in BEST WESTERN PREMIER Hotel Astoria for 2 days and enjoyed it very much.
Renovated building with very nice interior. Hotel staff had no problem with English and was very helpful. We arrived 2 hours before check in time, but regardless that were given the room key right away(in my experience that rarely happens). Breakfast had a nice variety of food and was
delicious.

I chose this hotel based it's guest reviews, location and free secured parking. The bonus was the buffet breakfast that was included. The location is only 10 minutes from the Zagreb Cathedral and upper town. The room was a bit small, but very clean and comfortable. It was very easy to pull up to the front door, drop off the luggage, check in and then drive around the corner to the back parking lot which was controlled by key access. The reception desk was very helpful with directions and information. The buffet breakfast was worth at least $20 per person if you compare it to breakfasts in the US, England or France. Most Paris hotels charge 12-15 Euros just for a continental breakfast. There was a large variety of cold and hot dishes as well as beverages including champagne. I had a great night sleep also because it was very quiet, Free parking, free breakfast and free wi-fi, I don't think I could have found a better place.

Wanted a hotel close to the station for a very early start. so pleased I chose this hotel. Stayed for 2 separate 1 night stays, and each time was upgraded. Staff could not have been more helpful. Will definitely use next time I am in Zagreb.

This hotel lives up to its Best Western Brand and does what you would expect. Good rooms, good bathrooms, good breakfast, good location, free parking.

The hotel reception were very accommodating in being able to check us in early, which we did not expect but appreciated.

We were 5 - 10 minutes from the tram station, restaurants etc.. 3 minutes from the train station.

For the one night we were in Zagreb this hotel did everything we needed and is a good city hotel.

Perfect location - within walking distance of everything. Secured car park if you are driving. Very helpful staff when checking in. The hotel is well kept, clean and nicely appointed. The only drawback for me was the very tiny shower (tiny hotel room as well - I was only one person, not sure how I would fit two with luggage). The shower was super small. Adequate to get the job done but made shaving legs a challenge. Lovely array for breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel following a long flight from Australia. Upon arrival, we noticed how quiet the surrounding area was - appreciating that it was mid Saturday afternoon, . Upon our check in we were upgraded (which was a nice surprise) to a room at the rear of the hotel on the first floor. The room was large - king bed with at least 8 chairs and a two seater couch. Bathroom had high quality fittings and toiletries. The walk to the city centre was very easy and the hotel provided a perfect location for our first night of our 6 week stay in Croatia. Breakfast was normal buffet breakfast supplies. Our only issue was that the price quoted was in Euros, yet we had to pay in Kunas and the exchange rate was not the best. However, in saying that still believe that this hotel was very good value.
