Out of all the places offering traditional Croatian food in Zagreb, going along the lines of rustic-chique rather than chique-chique, Didov san is in my opinion the best. Started the meal with an aperitif of rakija (brandy). Very good portions of honest food, not fine dining but something which really resembles the tastiest of home cooking. I was especially pleased with the Uštipci, a kind of batter-ball, served with Kajmak, something similar to clotted cream. The location in the upper town, just around the corner from St Mark's Church, is also very beneficial.
