“Historical place in Sofia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012 via mobile

Sofia will be different without Divaka. Young or not, after bar, for a dinner or lunch, you should go and try it. Good prices, food and stuff. The atmosphere is casual, as you are going to some friends house.

“shkembe and beer early in the morning - that's all you need :)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2012

well, this is it - great hangover cure in Divaka after clubbing in Sofia.
And the location only helps as it is a walking distance from most clubs in Sofia downtown area.

“Divaka”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2012

I don't like the menu, they didn't put anything new for years. When you went there 4,5 times you know everything and I don't like the food a lot. It could be much better.

“I could eat here forever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012 via mobile

Had read a lot of reviews on here before going to Sofia and was then told about the place by the hostel where we were staying.
Very modernly decorated with simple wooden chairs and tables, lovely glass front to the restaurant which is brilliant to sit and watch the world go but. There is also a smoking area with tables and and outdoor area. Always very busy, we ate here at 11pm the first night and at about 1pm one day and it was really busy both times, loads of people coming and going the waitresses were constantly on the go. There is a large selection of food on the menu and nothing we had disappointed. I would recommend the Divaka bread bowl, which has chicken cream soup and the fried courgettes with yoghurt and dill sauce also the mashed potato was unlike any mashed potato I have every tried. The staff were helpful and had some English so with our small amount of Bulgarian we got on quiet well. There are Bulgarian menus on the table but we had to ask for English ones. Brilliant value and a massive amount of food. I'd recommend here to everyone.
