“Stop Over”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014

Several friends and myself decided to end our recent skiing trip with a One Night Stop Over in Sofia, and picked the Central as in its name is central to the city centre (centrum). A few hundred meters walk to the pedestrianised shopping/restaurant/bar area.
First impressions were that it was very modern, clean, clean lines, the staff professional and reception efficient.
The room (I selected a deluxe double, others in the party selected the classic double but unless they were upgraded without being told seemed identical to the slightly pricier deluxe room) was very clean and well presented, with usual touches like complementary water/snack etc. albeit expected in a hotel of this quality (things we did not get at the ski resort).
The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom well stocked with the usual shower gels, shampoo's etc.
The windows are well insulated against road traffic noise as on a busy road but unfortunately means unable to leave open through the night.
Self service breakfasts, both continental and cooked were available, with a very good selection for both. The breakfast staff were very efficient and helpful, in smart uniforms (as were all other members seen).
Checkout was again efficient and the bill presented in both Euro's and BGN which did mean a little thinking about when normally using GBP.
Airport transfer was an option when booking (Free with a booking) which arrived promptly (in fact in plenty of time to load luggage etc and still depart on schedule) the driver was very courteous and communicative.
I have given an excellent rating for value, however not having experienced other Sofia hotels am not sure if this to be accurate.
A one night stay is not necessarily long enough to provide an accurate picture but if I was to return to Sofia again the Central Park would be my choice.

the central park is located next to NDK and very close to the Vitosha Blvd, so it can be easy to access Sofia city center. Rooms are big and clean (Tv-sat and minibar - very big showers). Excellent restaurant and breakfast, althought the prices are a little but higher that the rest of the town but, of couse, this is 4stars hotel!). Very good travelling from the hotel to the airport by the hotel shuttle. Personnel experienced (english ok). Wi-fi runs good.

I have stayed at a number of different hotels during my business trips to Sofia, but this last time I chose Central Park Hotel and I was very pleasantly surprised. The location is superb – right in the heart of the city with the National Palace of Culture only a few steps away and lots of cafes, restaurants and shops on the main shopping street of Sofia – the ‘Vitosha boulevard’. The staff was extremely friendly and polite and the rooms were spotless, bright and spacious. I recommend booking room 505 which is huge and boasts spectacular views of the city. I also visited the hotel restaurant on two occasions as I was too tired to go out and really enjoyed the food which was not only delicious, but also good value for money. All in all, this was the best hotel I have been to in Sofia and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in the capital.

This four-star truly lives up to its four stars! The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast is of high quality and all staff are very friendly and curtious. We also used the meeting room which was excellent as well. I wish I could have stayed longer it was so comfortable!
I am not sure if we received a special price but what we paid was way worth the money!

The central park hotel is in a great location in the centre of Sofia. Its a short walk to the main shopping areas with lots of nearby attractions. The rooms are very good and comfortable. The only downsides are the air con was turned off for winter yet the room was very warm. With the window open we were woken by the trams outside which started running around 5am. Staff were very friendly and helpful and I would defiantly recommend this hotel.

A good Hotel according to many standards. The people are very polite and speak very good English. The people in the restaurant are also nice but scarce. I did not like my room because I had a room with two bed and I wanted a big bed so I was disappointed. I tried to make the changes for the other night but apparently they could not accommodate me. In any case I had to leave earlier so no hard feelings there. My room 509 was good, the bathroom simple clean and modern and very convenient. The room was nice and the TV was a flat screen with international channels. there is a desk for work if needed. the few draw back of the room: the safe is for papers not computer size. For the lights inside the room a little dark to my taste and the plugs not well placed at least in mine. I had to move one of the bed and switch the night table to have access to the light switch and to the plug for my phone to lie on my night table. The plugs at the desk are under the desk, they should have put an extension on the desk. I like the bed because very firm. The breakfast buffet is very nice and tasty. I would come back if I get a big bed next time. Even though my room was next to the elevator you could not hear the noise. By the way the room has a little furniture for the luggage which is very convenient. I cannot complain except the minor improvements that can be done. By the way the WiFi works good everywhere in the hotel. Even if your window gives on the street no noise in the room. I slept with the window opened and it was not noisy either.

Room Tip: Nice location for business or for touristic purpose. The two main draw backs for me was the size of...

i stay in this hotel more than a week, yes it's clean the personnel are helpful but there for the rate, you expected more for example the lift is too low when the hotel are fool you wait a long (that because the two lift don't have synchronization). The breakfast is great the first journey but always the same need more diversity.Overwise a have problem with internet the was probably some restriction because more internet web site i cannot access like google, trip advisor…
One other problem there is no parking and in the area it's not easy to park!
