“good but not very good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2012

we got the minimum service without smile or good word. we spent a week in the hotel and the weather was very hard - even the wifi service was poor.

It is a very nice, quiet & convenient hotel, located near the ring road of Sofia. It's main advantage is that you avoid some of the terrible Sofia traffics jams.

The staff are very friendly and fanasticly helpfull. The food is great, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The rooms large and roomy. All in all a great base for Sofia and surrounding Mountains. Dont worry about the distance (15-20 mins) to the centre of Sofia, as they use the taxi company 91119 and they are good honest one.

A very fine hotel with just a touch of hidden elegance. Wonderful staff, great food in the restaurants. I needed a clean, quiet, spacious place. This did it for me, and I will be back!

Arrived in Sofia, got taxi from the airport, be very careful when getting taxi's there are alot "dodgy" ones out there and we paid through the nose to get to the hotel!!
On arrival staff were not the most friendly of people and didn't seem to like being questioned about what and why they are doing certian things, namely retaining passports etc!! when you have just be ripped off by a taxi driver my defences went straight up!!
Hotel booked taxi's fur us which was fine, no more beig ripped off!! We didn't eat in the hotel, we went to the restaurant over the road which was much more varied although the food was basic the portions were good.
Always keep tabs on your money and make sure you ask before ordering, this is a general rule for Bulgaria outside of the big resorts. We paid more for beer than what the hotel advertised it at and they refused to change the price.
Room was very nice, well decorated and spacious, can't fault that really, the staff just need some personality injected into them and customer service training.
As previously stated it is a long way from teh city centre and at no point did the hotel offer us a mini bus into the city.

This hotel is situated in a nice residential area of the city of Sofia. It is, however, quite a way out from the city centre, about a 15 minute drive, but the hotel has a mini-bus that will take you into town and collect you again free of charge, whenever you want, which is excellent. The airport is also about a 15 minute drive and the hotel offers free airport transfers, both to and from the airport, again a huge bonus. The rooms are spot less, very well maintained and up to western standards. The double bed is huge. There is a television in the rooms and free internet access, with computers in the reception area for you to use if you do not have your own laptop. Rooms also have a mini-bar. The staff are very helpful and speak English. The hotel restaurant is also good. There is another restaurant just opposite the hotel building called Eco Jasmin and it is also good, but slightly cheaper than the hotel restaurant. Breakfast is included in the price and is perfectly adequate. Overall excellent value for money. Downside is as the hotel is in a residential area so there are no shops/ nothing to do locally around the hotel itself, need to travel into city centre either by car or the hotel mini-bus.
