“Good Food and Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2014

There are few places in Sofia where one can eat decent food that has taste, technique, quality and art incorporated into the plate. L'Instant is one of them. Good touch from the Chef being reciprocated by the Maître who just happens to be his wife. All I can say is, if you want to have good food and paired with elegant service, you must give this place a try. Always a repeat for me. Bon Appetite!

“A moment of pleasure, art and exquisite taste”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

For starters we had frogs legs and snails. Both had very delicate taste and were served beautifully. The Black Angus beef fillet that came as a main course was really amazing. The restaurant had a pretty wide variety of french wines which we had never seen before. The waiter helped us with the choice and the of oaky wine really complimented the beef. Oh yes - the welcoming warm bread with aubergine paste was once in a lifetime :)

“Wonderful French quisine in the heart of Sofia”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

This was my first visit to this restaurant and it was well worth trying. Friendly welcome and service that starts with the smiling face of the Maitre D, Karyn and continures with the table waiters. The setting and decor is very nice and inviting. Fine selection of creative dishes, all well presented and very tasty and a wide selection of domestic and foreign wines. I can recommend the fish soup for appetizer and the Sea Bass filet for main course. Defenitely worth visitng!

“French Restaurant in Sofia”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2014

For starters we had snails which was the highlight of the entire meal, my dinning partner had the duck which was completely cold and therefore impossible to taste the flavor of combinations. I ordered the beef rare and received it rare but cold which i did not like. The creme broulee was more like scrambled eggs topped with soft sugar caramel. I found the atmosphere very boring and the waiter overbearing.

“Big disappointment”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2014

Good ratings on Tripadvisor brought me to this restaurant. But for me it was a big disappoinent.

The restaurant was almost empty. The interior looks a little cheap and not cozy.

I had a terrine of duck foie gras. That was pretty nice. But on the good wine list, it was not possible to order a glas of sauternes to accompany the foie gras. I had to order a bottle (0.5litres) of a comparable wine.

The main course (tournedos rossini) was ok. Not very special.

The crème brûlee was absolutely horrible. The pudding was too warm and the caramelized suger on the top was soft.

There are much better places in Sofia. I do not recommend this restaurant.
