This is the main shopping street in Sofia. It's populated with "real" stores (e.g. Nine West, Mango, Zara, etc) rather than tourist souvenir shops. It's mainly a pedestrian walkway, so it can be very pleasant in nice weather to wander down the street and window shop (or actually shop!). There are also a lot of restaurants and bars with plenty of outdoor seating, so you can stop for a drink or two along the way. The restaurants here are going to be more expensive than in other areas of the city since it is a shopping/tourist area, but the prices still aren't too bad.
I was here in June and did not notice any construction.
