We were with 45 others on a tour and this was our first stop, with 3 couples that were also friends. We were going thru Sofia, Belgrade and a few cities in Romania.
All hotels paled in comparison after this one. Rooms are big, bathrooms were also big with two wash basins, with a separate shower and bathtub. Also, a 'pot' for heating water.
Free usage of computer, and it also included a printer and a scanner!
Our Welcome dinner was in the hotel, and the filo, steak, and dessert were absolutely delicious.
Hotel is centrally located, National Assembly right across the street. Sofia University and National Library about a block away, as was the Alexander Nevski Cathedral, Russian Church, etc. Lots of little shops and inexpensive good restaurants close by.
Staff was very helpful, spoke very good English, courteous.
Breakfast buffet was excellent. This may seem small, but hotel had REAL OJ! No other hotel on our tour of 12 days had this, instead they all had watered down juices. Lots of fruits also.
The elevator doors are something that needs to be adjusted, but we found that throughout our tour, they all seemed to be that way,
Art work, whether you like it or not, was ... interesting!

Thank you for choosing the Radisson Blu Grand Hotel Sofia and for taking the time to share your feedback via TripAdvisor.
It is really nice that you had enjoyable and pleasant stay with us and in the city of Sofia. Our Super Buffet Breakfast as a concept is a real competitive edge and I am really glad that you highly appreciated it. Your comment about the elevator doors has been forwarded to our Chief Engineer and the issue will be looked into.
I am looking forward to welcoming you back at our hotel in the near future.
