Our second visit to Sarajevo and our second visit to Ada. The rooms are nice and clean, the location is good (a steepish but short climb from the Baščaršija) but it's all about Safiya and Aldina, whose Bosnian hospitality makes you feel so welcome that you really don't want to leave.
To repeat what other reviewers have said, the breakfast is amazing. Eggs, delicious Bosnian meats, fresh fruit, fresh bread, juice, Bosnian coffee, Bosnian sweets...my idea of heaven.
And nothing is too much trouble - when we asked if they had any ketchup to go with the eggs (we're sophisticated like that!), Safiya simply went out in the pouring rain to the local shop and bought some for us. When we got back from walking around the town, tired and wet, Aldina brought us tea, juice and fruit to the room. When we (grudgingly) had to leave, we weren't allowed to do so without more complimentary tea, coffee, fruit and sweets. Even then, Safiya insisted on carrying my suitcase (all 30+ kg of it) out to the taxi.
I should add that we're not the most sociable of people and usually like to keep to ourselves on holiday, but at Ada you're made to feel truly at home, and we wouldn't think twice about coming back here when we return to Sarajevo. Inšallah!
**NB** - please be aware that the link on trip advisor currently takes you to a different Hotel Ada which is near Sarajevo but actually a couple of miles out of town - very confusing - to book the right Ada you need to go straight to the hotel's own website at http://www.adahotel.ba/
