We travel back every year and having heard so much about this place decided to give it a try. It is definitely one of the worst places I have been to both in terms of the quality and the setting (the latter is not to be confused with atmosphere).
None of our group thought much of the food. We were either unlucky to have received average quality food, or the standard has gone downhill. Either way, this is not value for money, especially as there are so many better options in town.
There is something somewhat offputting about having stray dogs stalk you for food whilst you are eating and the view of a canal with rubbish floating in it right next to you is not many peoples' cup of tea.
Whilst I adore Sarajevo and pride myself on having my friends discover its culinary delights, I do not see what the fuss is about when it comes to Brajlovic. There are so many more options elsewhere (Avlija, Kibe, the small brewery to name a few) that is is surprising that this place has a rating at all. Being Bosnian, we are picky about our food and red meat in particular and Brajlovic is a huge letdown in that respect. Some protection from the flies and the mosquitoes would not go amiss either.
