“Great staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

The room was a bit like a prison cell - dark, high small windows, gloomy; however it was exceptionally clean as was the bathroom ... and the aircon functioned well also.. Breakfast buffet was adequate. What makes the hotel is the staff - from receptionist to night porter to the breakfast ladies, all were unfailingly pleasant and helpful. The location is good also - just off Skanderberg square. C

Location: just of Skanderberg Square, so right in the centre. My room was towards the back, so it was nonetheless quiet (cannot comment for other rooms).
Room: spot clean, in everything good condition, but really small (feels a bit like a cupboard)
Service: friendly.
Breakfast: tiny buffet (2 kinds of cereals, 1 kind of bread, 2 kinds of jam, etc.), but OK as such.

Room Tip: The rooms downstairs (#1, #2, #3) are below ground level, and only have half a window relatively hig...

Located on a side street a few minutes from the start of the main central attractions. Convenient position with decent standard in public areas but not a great outlook . Room was a decent size and very clean, reached by steps. Breakfast room on the ground floor served standard continental fare with a local influence, and omelettes were cooked to order. There are outside tables if you prefer (or are a smoker). Staff responded quickly to anything we asked of them.

In the center of the town near of everything. Very, very nice staff, always disponible to help the clients. My economic room was almost interor but with a good size, clean and confortable. Good air conditioning what was very good with so hot weather. Very good wifi signal free of charge. A simple but good breakfast with some homemade things.

The hotel is located directly at the back of the International Hotel. The location is perfect, just a few meters from Zogu Avenue, Skanderbeg Square, and the National museum.
The rooms are clean, no pretentious, and the rates are ok for the central location and Albania is cheaper than any other country in the region. The breakfast was included and was perfect with real coffee and omelet. Wifi available for guests and they have one computer with free internet in the first floor too.
The reception staff speaks English. Very few people speak english in Albania actually, but by other hand a lot of people speak italian. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They know some taxi drivers and call them for you if you need one to go to the airport or to visit Kruja in a private half day tour. They can help you to found the right bus or minibus to Berati and other parts of Albania, because Tirana hasn't got any central bus station.

Room Tip: second or third floor with window over the street.

Having stayed at the International, this hotel looks directly at the back of it but is a lot less pretentious, the staff are lovely, helpful and accommodating. They couldn't do enough for us and it was a very pleasant stay. It doesn't have huge facilities, it's fairly basic but we enjoyed it more than a hotel twice it's price!

This hotel is centrally located in Tirana . It is a 10 minutes walk from the Airport Shuttle terminal and a $6 (4 euros) taxi drive to the Bus or Fourgon terminal .
We were able to walk to the major points of interest of Tirana and there are plenty of interesting restaurants , caffés and bars nearby .
Rooms are o.k. ,spotless and the service is excellent . Do not hesitate to ask the staff for recommandations , bookings and general information . We found them to be more reliable than the Tourist Information Office which is located nearby .
It ended up being the most expensive accommodation of our Balkans trip ( 8 countries ) but lodging seems to be generally expensive in Tirana .
