One of my favorite places to have lunch in Tahiti, I love it. I feel some of the old Tahiti when I go there. Lots of locals business people go there for lunch. The food is a little on the expensive side, but still good. Don't expect gourmet. You really go there for the location/view of the restaurant. Its one of the few places right on the beach. If in Tahiti, a must for lunch. The decor makes this place unique. Be sure to try and request a beach side table, its worth it. I live here, and I feel like I m on vacation during lunch.
The service is definitely not the highlight of the place, but then again nothing new for Tahiti standards. No need to get upset, its not going to make it better. Just get their attention and remind them of what you asked for with a big smile and it will come. They do the best they can, because it does get a little busy.
They have a great "Plat imperial" a trio of fish and egg rolls. Good poisson crue(raw fish marinated in lime juice and coconut milk) Its the national dish of Tahiti.
