“Absolutely ideal - looks like a postcard”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

Brilliant. Just brilliant. My partner and I stayed here on a 5 night getaway in December 2012 and it was lovely. Pefect location on the coral coast infront of the reef, a scrumptous restaurant/cocktail bar and beautiful pool out the front. We booked a couple of tours which picked us up from the hotel and dropped us back, very convenient. Also great spot if you feel like lazying around and reading a book by the pool with a cocktail. Room was good, surprisingly no TV or phone though. At first it was strange, having never stayed in a hotel without either of these items but quickly realised it was very nice not knowing what was happening in the outside world. The only downside were the Indian-Fijian people... very rude, pushy and just after money. The Indian-Fijian taxi driver out the front for example, nearly wouldn't let us out of the taxi without paying 'in advance for the return trip'... Overall an amazing place to stay, would highly recommend it.

A lovely simple property on the coral coast - with a fantastic resturant. The chef is really fantastic - had one of the best Indian Curry meals - ever. Fantastic food, staff who are friendly and welcoming - lovely spot to stop for a day or so if touring the island.

Second time we have stayed here. Great location, friendly staff, huge rooms and one of the best chefs in Fiji. Our 22nd trip and so sorry we did not find Bedarra many years ago. The negative reviews obviously come from those expecting a 5 star resort for 3 and half star prices. On our 2 trips we could only find a sliding door that was very heavy to push..Immediately we reported it, the door was fixed with the owner himself coming to check that the work was completed.
In July/August 2012 we stayed for 33 days and loved every minute of it. We did not miss the TV at all, as we did not go to Fiji to watch TV. There was always much more to do. WE loved just jumping on the little local Mini Bus which took us anywhere along the 7 or 8 mile route for just F$1.
If you are looking for a little bit of Paradise , without the crowds of a 5 star hotel, Bedarra is the place.

Room Tip: Room 18 for Ocean views. Rooms 1,2,3,4 for no stairs.

Me, my wife and 17 year old daughter decided on a Fiji holiday to celebrate the end of High school for her, so it was like "Schoolies" with mum & dad. We all love the Pacific Islands, and to pick Fiji, especially Bedarra was an excellent choice. Everything was perfect from the well presented and spacious room to relaxing under the palm trees by the lagoon. We could not fault the dining, entertainment, pool, service and the friendly staff. Bedarra on the Coral Coast is a great location if you want to avoid all the bigger and crowded resorts and if you don't rely on TV. Everything is on tap from transport to tours and dining out. We hired a car from Nadi, but really we could have done without it as there are plenty of taxis & buses around. We would certainly go back there again.

Room Tip: We think any de-luxe room would suit most people

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights and loved it. We got here early evening and were greeted to a very warm welcome from reception. People were having drinks at the bar area and there was a nice atmosphere. The room was very spacious with fridge, air con and comfortable king bed. It is a hotel that is very much all about relaxing so if you want something lively don't come here. We are a young couple who do like some night life but were more than happy to have some wind down time and relax here. They have a beautiful view to the ocean which is just in front of the hotel where you go and grab a sun lounger to sunbathe. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and make you feel very at home. We ate in the restaurant which was very good. My favourite meal was the fish curry, very tasty and very nicely presented. Breakfast was also good and the prices are very reasonable too. Like I said don't come here if you want some nightlife, most people had already finished their meals and were off back to their rooms by 9pm. I'll be honest I had the earliest nights sleep on holiday I've ever had as they do wind down here early and there is no TV in the rooms. This is no criticism as we embraced the relaxation, it's just a warning as some guests may potentially not like this. But for anyone that does I highly recommend this hotel as I couldn't fault the hotel, service or food.

Me and my wife stayed here for 3 nights on the way to New Zealand from Los Angeles. It was a $100 (Fiji Dollars) taxi ride from the Nadi airport to get here. We considered renting a car, but were glad we didn't, as the road could be pretty sketchy at times. The taxi ride from the hotel back to the airport was $80, as prices are cheaper away from the airport.

I had emailed the hotel a day or two earlier to let them know that we would be arriving around at around 8:00 am, and see if there was any possibility of getting into our room at that time. I recieved a quick response telling me that our room would be ready upon our arrival, and it was! This was very helpful.

The hotel is self is very clean, and the staff is extremely friendly. Our room was very big, and the shower had amazing water pressure, which made me very happy. It should be noted that there are no TVs in the rooms. We knew this ahead of time and were fine with it. If you need a TV, don't stay here!

There is a bar on site that has happy hour every day from 5 to 6. There is also a restaurant that overlooks the pool area. We ate at the restaurant once, and the food was very good. The pool area is small, but very good looking and clean. The beach is 50 yards or so from the front of the hotel. The hotel lends out snorkeling gear for free to hotel guests.

Another good thing about the hotel is that wireless internet is actually reasonably priced. There are a few different options for purchasing wireless internet. We went with 5 days unlimited access for $25. That's a very good deal compared to what all the other hotels in Fiji charge.

There are a few notable things within walking distance of the hotel. The Kula Eco Park, The Outrigger Resort, and a great little restaurant/bar called Koko's bar are all close by. There are various tours and other outings available through different companies if you want activities.

Our experience here was excellent. If you just want to relax and unwind for a few days, I highly reccomend The Bedarra Beach Inn.

We spent 16 nights here on the last leg of a 3 month tour of Asia, Oz and Nz!

Small and friendly hotel with just 20 rooms..........oh and no TV in your room.

You don't need one! Ocean on your door step, wonderful staff and a great food service (whatever you want and just how you like it!)

The guests at the 5* Out Rigger next door come here to eat and drink in their droves, so you do the Maths

Town is a 8 minute taxi ride and you will pay60% less for water and drinks. There are 4great supermarkets in Sigatoka and a daily fresh market

Everything shuts at 1 on a Sunday.

Enjoy

Room Tip: Room10,11 or 12 are on upper floor and enjoy views of ocean, pool and gardens!
