Even though we had stayed on a remote island for a week we still wanted a "mainland" cultural experience. This was a real adventure, from the boat ride through the pitch dark with only a dolphin torch to light the way, to our arrival on the island greeted by flame bearing warriors. The meal didn't do much for us, but the general feeling of the place was so back to basics it was amazing, like a theme park. While I wouldn't actually want to stay overnight it was really interesting to see another way to holiday - loved the watering can shower! The show was absolutely fantastic with pacific island dance from all over. The costumes were varied and beautiful and the performers just so good that I felt the show was good enough for a city hotel, but the outdoor venue was perfect. Our trek back through the bush to our return boat needed some illumination but I guess it just added to the experience. Glad we went.
