“Well worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2012

This place and really interesting and worth the trip. It was only about 15 minutes from Nadi airport, down a gravel road which is quite run down.
The gardens are spectacular and so cool on a hot day. The walk around the gardens took about 40 minutes and you get a lovely cool tropical juice when you return.

“A delightful stroll”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2012

We had some idle time waiting between checkout from our hotel and checkin at the airport, so we took a taxi out to these beautiful gardens. We had a lovely hour and a half just wandering through the gardens admiring the variety of orchids and other tropical plants on display in lovely settings. The road in was a bit rough, but there had been a lot of rain lately, but the taxi driver took in in his stride, and waited, with our luggage, before taking us to the airport.

“orchids galore”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2012

went here as part of an un-organised taxi ride to Lautoka and it was tagged on by the driver as we had mentioned it in passing conversation, so he drove there without telling us (or charging more)
the place was lovely with so many beautiful colours of orchid in the shaded garden.

“Pretty.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2012

Pretty flowers. Trail to follow. Boring tour guide who seemed like she didn't want to be there. Free juice at the end. I'm sure if you were really into gardens, it would be an ok trip. Not much is planted in the ground. Lots of plants in pots.

“Flower Power and More”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2012

The place itself is located after a pretty rough and tumble unpaved drive but once you get to the gardens, it's quite serene and nice. A guide was available to tell us about all the orchids and tell us interesting tidbits about the place, which could be cool for those interested in such information (unfortunately, I'm not much of a flower/garden person). There are some pretty cool trails at the back, after all the orchids and if you have a guide (in my case, the actual guide for the half day tour I was on led me after the orchids guide left me hanging), it's interesting to learn about the trees and biodiversity of Fiji + snap some very "green" photos :) The downside about the gardens was the amount of mosquito bites I came out with...they don't play!
