“Colorful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

At the end of Nadi's main street you will find the Sri Siva Subramaniya Swami Temple a very large and colorful Hindu temple which guardian is the Hindu god Shiva. Tourist have to pay entry fee. Wear modest clothing and don't take pictures in the temple. Outside it is fine.
For me this temple is the most colorful I've seen so far. There is so much love in each detail. For sure you will make great photos. I did.

“Nice visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013

Quick walk on the edge of Nadi town. Very peaceful experience. Everything brightly painted and preserved. We visited on a rainy day...so everything was not at it's best...no sun shining through.

“Interesting”

This place is an interesting place, but was not that big of a deal for me. I would skip it if you have better things to do.

“Typical for Hindu temple”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

If you have been to India or other SE Asian countries this temple will probably not impress you. But if it is your first visit to Hindu place of worship you may find it of interest. Certainly, it is large and colorful.

“So pretty and serene, well worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

Cost me $3.50 for entry and the three children were free. Husband felt underdressed in boardies and rashie so stayed in the car! We had not intended visiting but had hired a car for the day to visit the Coral Coast and the kids expressed an interest in going in. I am so glad we did although at times i almost felt as though we were imposing.
Several people were worshipping and offering up coconuts which was great to witness.
The children were beautifully behaved (well they're usually pretty good!) as they seemed to sense the serenity of the place. We were able to watch a couple of things going on in the main temple, so to see the candles, joss sticks and various other sounds and smells made it a wonderful experience.
The artwork on the ceilings and the detail in the rest of the temple was stunning.
All in all an unexpected surprise......and when we left we met a couple who had got married the previous day. The lady's dress was exquisite.
