“The best Day tour to see amazing Fiji culture!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012 via mobile

We got a coach from Port Denaru with the tour staff on board the host Bola was a great host from morning until we left the island late in the afternoon. Then we went out to the Island via a boat & from the moment we got there & seen the welcome to Robinson Crusoe island written in the sand with them all singing a welcoming to us all it was great.
Food was so yum Cooked by lovo the potatoes chicken & fish were delicious as was the ham and all the salads provided.
We got to see them climb coconut trees which was amazing to see then they cut them up and we got to try coconut.
Snorkelling was good as was the kayaking, swimming & the fire dancing knife dancing & other demonstrations.
We have two kids 5 & 8 and they had a ball so would also suggest this day tour for families as we felt it gave the kids the opportunity to see all aspects of Fijian life! Defiantly would do this tour again!

“Great day trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

My friend and I went on this tour 23/9/12. We thought it was great. The staff were very funny (you need to have light hearted humour yourself and not take anything too seriously) don’t expect too much history knowledge about Fiji although you do get some on the bus trip that’s included. This trip is pure Fiji at its finest and we felt it was the best deal available and researched many other tours, but if there is something specific you want to do on another tour do that, as they are all roughly $100-$200 but this one was very reasonable at $159 including food, its not any cheaper getting a ‘’deal’ from a sales person bargaining as you can simply book at your hotel. The fire dancing was great and the staff tried to get everyone involved in activities and loosen up to have fun. I was a bit worried on the boat ride there to be honest as you do go down a canal for 30mins with muddy water but when you reach the island the water is clear and the sand is perfect and can be very different weather from a 30 min drive from your resort, so if it’s a cloudy day you can bet a dollar it will be stunning weather on this island. The food was plenty and delicious (if no-one takes it all and serves themselves a standard size, some people can be greedy on a buffet). A fun day all round and we are still talking about it and how much fun and laugher we had.
Drinks are not too expensive and the bathroom and toilet are extreemly clean and tidy for a remote island, much better than I would have expected.

“Good dancing but other aspects could be improved”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

I visited Robinson Crusoe Island on a night time tour. The dancing, particularly the fire dancing is very good and well worth a visit but other aspects of the tour were somewhat disappointing. While we were staying on the Coral Coast it nevertheless took over a hour to reach the jetty for the half hour boat ride to the Island. Similarly for the trip back. Thus we spent more time getting to and from the island than on the island. I suggest that if you are interested, take the combination of the day and night tour as it represents good value compared to doing either the day or night tours by itself.

The boat trip was in a large basic aluminum boat with seating running down the sides and in the middle. As you are facing either inwards or outwards (not in the direction the boat is travelling) it can be uncomfortable trip and I was glad it was only for 30 minutes. The tour also includes a lovo feast which is served buffet style. The food was reasonable and plentiful and drinks were available. Drink individually are a little more expensive than I found on the on the Coral Coast but the island offers a voucher covering 5 drinks for a set price of $28 fiji. The voucher also covers ice cream. The trip back was obviously in the dark but the lighting on the jetty is limited to one area. My boat was one of two and used a nearby slipway, which meant walking up the slipway in the dark with uneven ground at the top as well. Something which i think the tour company should address before someone rolls an ankle.

“Very Freindly Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2012

I stayed three nights on this little island with my wife and two teenage daughters, we had a blast. The staff are so freindly and keep you busy and amused all day and night. We did not get to see the evening show as a storm blew in, but the daytime show was excellent. Our Bure was recently renovated and was very homely. The food was good and plentyful. We went here to relax after touring Australia for 3 weeks, and we were made very welcome. Do not expect a 5 star resort, this is a fairly basic, with a family feel, would do it again at the drop of a hat, Awesome job Guys!.
