“very pleasant”

It is not the Copacabana boardwalk, but it is a great place to spend some time in the morning and again in the late afternoon.

“The Rambla is the life of Montevideo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

The Rambla, or the waterfront avenue, covers more than 30 km and all the inhabitants of the city have equal access to it, from every part of the city. This is an area bordering the beach, and all of Montevideo is lined up with beaches along its coast. It is a place of reunion for friends and family, walking pets, exercising, working out, art exhibitions, biking and going for a stroll. The Rambla is the same all along its way, but busier with people in the area of Pocitos, more people watching there, than anywhere else, as the population concentration is higher in that neighborhood. It is also a very pretty Rambla along Pocitos, very scenic too. During the Summer, in the late afternoon, hundreds of people come down from their apartments to enjoy the Rambla. year round on nice days and weekends, the same happens although during the fall and winter it can be windy and uncomfortable there as it blows from the sea in.

“Nice place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

This rambla is excellent for walk, jog or stay around. Have nice views in front of Rio de la Plata (River Plate) and it is quite good in maintenance. One problema is that there is no facility acces to toilettes.

“A must if you visit Montevideo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

For me La Rambla is one of the main advantages of Montevideo over Buenos Aires or some other cities of South America. If the weather is nice you can enjoy the breeze, walking, riding a bike or even driving along. It goes along several kilometers including different neighborhoods such as Carrasco, Malvin, Buceo, Pocitos and Parque Rodó. Probably the best places are between Pocitos and Buceo (go to Puertito del Buceo to enjoy some seafood).
