Very nice, very quiet hotel. Very nice hotel workers, very professional. We want to go back to that hotel next year. Very secluded in the country, far away from the city. Peace and Quiet. We walk to the river 5 minutes way. See all the stars at night. Only hear birds chirping in the morning, nothing else. The hotel make special food for us. It was the perfect hotel.

We had the pleasure of staying here one night on our way to Machu Picchu. The staff was the BEST EVER (we adored Pepe, who if he didn't own the hotel, certainly acted as though it were his own), the rooms were so beautiful, fitting right in with the scenic backdrop of the rolling mountains, and we felt like we were the only guests that they had (albeit, there was only one other couple staying there that night)! We wished we could have stayed here longer. Although there was a minor mix up with our luggage (an error made by the tour company we were with), Pepe and the rest of the staff made every effort to help us get the supplies we needed and ensure we were comfortable. They even went home to try to find a camera charger for us, since we didn't have it due to the mix up! I don't think I've ever heard of anyone receiving such attentive and caring service.

Because it is located a little off the beaten path, we opted to dine at the hotel restaurant. Pepe kindly ensured that we would have the entire place to ourselves. Wow. Before hand though, we were treated to a Pisco Sour demonstration. It was wonderful, and so much fun. After we brought our drinks to the restaurant, and we felt like we were royalty or something. The food was really delicious. Not the best we'd had on our trip, but it was thoughtfully prepared and tasty.

The next morning, knowing that we had very little camera battery left for our visit to Machu Picchu, Pepe gave us a list of places we should be sure to take a photo at, so not to waste that precious battery. He also gave us a list of the top Peruvian dishes we should try to have before we left the country. How sweet was he?

Despite the negative aspect of having no luggage or a camera charger, we managed to have a wonderful time in the Sacred Valley, for which I have Pepe and the staff at Inkallpa to thank! AMAZING!

Room Tip: Unbelievably affordable in rainy season!

I can't say enough good things about Inkallpa: the grounds are gorgeous, the staff is attentive and helpful, the rooms are spacious, the restaurant food is delicious, the beds are plush and warm...I could go on. You can tell the owners have considered the needs of their guests, from the free bottles of water in your room to the space heater for chilly nights. It's an ideal spot to get away from the touristic bustle of Cusco and enjoy the stillness of the Sacred Valley.

Just remember that you'll have to take a taxi if you aren't on a packaged tour and want to get to Urubamba/Ollantaytambo/other sites, but the hotel staff has a list of trusted drivers. Ours was friendly and very affordable.

No, really. We had no idea we'd be staying in such a spectacular place for three nights. There could not have been a more appropriate setting for this beautiful hotel than the Sacred Valley. Good food, STELLAR service, quiet and incredibly peaceful. Restful sleeps after long days exploring the Valley; wonderful for getting acclimatized to the altitude. We went for a couple walks in the surrounding countryside - no other tourists, just local Quechua people herding goats and children playing soccer in the fields.

My words and photos do this place no justice. Thank you, Inkallpa.

Very well kept place with beautiful gardens. A joy to wake up among such beauty. The food was also very good, though since I was in a large group I'm not sure if it is provided to individual visitors. Also because I was in a group I am not certain what the rates are, but it is a very beautiful place.
