“Heaven on earth”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2014

One of the best hotel not only in Peru but all over the world. It is located at the sacred valley in Cusco and the view is breathtaking. The hotel is surrounded by mountains with clouds and the place is very serene and quiet. Facilities are almost complete and very modern. There is wifi everywhere, swimming pool, gym, museum and even a mini theater and popcorn is served while watching a movie. They even have a church which is designed beautifully. The room is big and the bath tub has jacuzzi. Staying in this hotel will give you relaxation you need after a long hike in Macchu Picchu

My wife and I, and friends stayed just one night on March 8th while on a tour, and that was just not enough time to fully enjoy the Aranwa Sacred Valley Hotel & Wellness. It is truly a 5 star hotel and facility in a resort setting, with matching level of service. We have not stayed in any finer hotel in So. America. We would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to that area of Peru.

we are glad to hear that the stay in our hotel was to your liking, and hopefully you will share your experience with all your friends and family.
Our hotel is one of the finest in South America and it is good to mention that we have the largest spa in the area and our resort has many magical spaces where you can enjoy unforgettable experiences.
I hope in your next stay in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

We stayed at this hotel when visiting Machu Picchu (MP) and the Sacred Valley. To get to MP from this hotel, one has to travel by bus or car to Ollantaytambo ( about 35 to 40 minutes), then by train to Aguas Calientes (about 90 minutes) and finally a mini bus up the mountain ( about 20 minutes)! But after a long day at MP, Aranwa is a welcome respite for relaxation with its spa, the pool, the gym and the animals on site. The garden is lovely to just simply walk around in, not to mention the interesting little nooks and corners within the property which one has to explore. Staff are friendly and service level is good. The only comment is that there are no elevators to the 1st floor and guests with walking disabilities should request for rooms on the ground floor. The rooms are large with a nice bathroom equipped with all the necessities. The breakfast spread is ok. We also had dinner at the hotel, and my only comment about the food quality is that it could have been better. Free wifi is available.

I visited last week, together with the other family we were four adults and five kids (age 14-6). All of us loved the hotel. The kids enjoyed the grounds; the pool, the peacock, the alpaca, and the parrots. The staff treated all of us very nicely. The hotel allowed easy access to the Inca sites of the sacred valley and was a wonderful place to come back to after our excursions. I would go back in a heartbeat.

We stayed at this hotel before embarking for Machu Pichu. It is an oasis of tasteful luxury, It is a five-star in every way - from the rooms (we stayed in one of the colonial rooms) which are large, comfortable and quiet to the manicured grounds. While large in area, the hotel has been designed such that everything seems personal.
The hotel has everything from one could need - spa, gym, art gallery, even a small movie theater. There is a verdant riverwalk along the Urubamba River. There are a variety of eating spots including a sushi/sashimi bar. The main dining room served excellent food. The main bar has a pleasant outdoor sitting area next to an extensive water area that courses through the property. Service was faultless.
The hotel has a few shops where we found an alpaca sweater for half the price of one bought at one of the local collective weaver groups.

Room Tip: The colonial rooms have more character than the newer, more modern ones.

We recently had 3 nights at this hotel. We loved it. We spent a whole morning exploring the resort, loving the peacocks, parrots, the beautiful gardens, theatre, church, museum, library and spa. It is first class with wonderful open spaces, the staff were first class. We were in what they called a "modern" room. It was spacious, and very comfortable and clean. Very good bathroom. We had a balcony, our travelling partner next door did not.
It is a very secure property, a short stroll to the small town close by where you can easily catch a taxi or bus to adjoining towns. We loved our stay. One thing - don't arrive for the breaky to late as some of the hot food options are gone by then. We ate at the bar often and the food was good each time.
We also had an evening soaking in the hot pool, it was fun sipping on our pisco sours whilst relaxing.
It is a shame the larger pool is not heated as we did not see it used once during our stay. It is a lovely area, just not used as it is too cold.

Room Tip: We did not see the "Colonial" rooms, the modern were very good, however may be worth an as...

Dear guest:
Thank you very much for sending your comments, we are glad to know that you really liked our hotel and that we have exceeded their expectations.
The rooms "colonial" are extraordinarily beautiful, because they keep a close memory with Yaravilca Antigua Casona, where you can relive many experiences of the time.
Our schedule of attention in restuarnt is until 11 pm, so we recommend separating your food in advance.
Thanks again and hope again in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

We had a lovely overnight there which was very relaxing and extra special because it was our honeymoon and the hotel was charming and attentive and we appreciated very much the flowers and special touches they added for our honeymoon. Great spot to stay at that is lovely and close to Ollantaytambo. We would love to go back one day and explore more of the resort!
