“Best one”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2014

Although I got sick and wasn't able to see much of these ruins, my hubby explored all around it and said it was better than most the others we saw in Peru. It had many elements to it Not destroyed by ppl. Where I sat near the toilets (holes in the ground), you could see all along the cliffs where ppl had been buried. As I sat an older man came and in broken English told me about the history from the area. One day we'll be back and I'll get to see the rest of it--what I saw was amazing though!

“Authentic Andean village”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014

The Sacred Valley is a very special place and Pisac reflects how special it is. Lovely people, a delightful open market, and lots of small cafes make this a worthwhile day trip from Cusco.

“Cultivation terraces”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2014

This site is mainly about the impressive terrace system which is very well preserved. If you do a tour of the Cusco surroundings this site should definitely be included.

“Exceeded my expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2014

It’s a bit difficult to be impressed after spending time at Machu Pichu, but somehow being in Pisac seems almost just as magical. I didn’t walk up because of a torn calf muscle, but sitting down by the stream and contemplating the stone walls and surrounding hills was probably just as good. (See my photos)

Apparently you can walk down to the village from the top of the hill where the ruins are. This would be an awesome trip… I’m putting it on my bucket list for next time.

“Great shopping...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014

The markets are great. Easy to navigate and enjoyable to shop. I would suggest making a stop at the eatery/mall when leaving. It is one of the first things you see. It is an empanada restaurant. Although the food is typical, the scenery is that of a majestic waterfall and mountain view. Make sure to keep a Sol or two on you for bathroom use.
