We stayed at Hostal Sauce for two nights in May. The rooms were comfortable and the location was centrally located in town. It was easy to walk around for restaurants, buying water, going to the ATM, etc. (the ATM in the hotel wasn't working, but there are plenty of others in town)
Great views of the ruins from our rooms (we switched to a matrimonial room once one opened up). Be sure to get a room with a good view!
Breakfast was good both mornings. We were there right before a strike, and the hotel staff was accommodating by calling our hotel in AC as well as storing out bags for an extra day.
We also appreciated the fact that the hotel was very eco-conscious (i.e. turning off all unnecessary lights).
You can walk to the train station in about 10 minutes, but a tuk-tuk for 2 soles (60 cents) is a great bargain.
We probably won't get to Ollantaytambo again, but if we did, we would stay there. The town was much more warm and inviting than Urubamba and we are glad that we stayed in Ollanta.
