“Sight on Day 3 of the Inca Trail”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2014

Sayacmarca is one of a series of stunning ruins you pass on day 3 of the Inca Trail. It is just off the main track, up a steep flight of steps. There is very little information about it. There are a series of rooms, the largest oval shaped one has twelve windows, one for each month of the year. Some stones in doorways have holes all the way through. They mark the point where thatched roofs were fastened.

“Huge Inca walls”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2014

You will see 3 to 4 Inca ruins around this site. The three tiered fortress is awesome and it's difficult to comprehend how they moved 3 ton boulders into positions to form perfect walls.
You will also get Panoramic view of Cusco from atop the hills.

“Great view of Cusco.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

The ruins are amazing and view of Cusco is brilliant! It's only a short bus ride out of Cusco so definitely worthwhile.

“you see this along the way on the Inca trail”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2013

Hiking on the Inca trail we came across this, which is why I tell people to take the inca trail up instead of the train. This place was filled with history and you will take pictures because it's pretty amazing.
