“Airport hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2012

The lobby of this hotel is less than 200 yards from the 'arrivals gate' at Lima airport so it is perfect for an overnight stop. Our room was clean, hotel breakfast buffet was adequate. Negatives, Noisey - airport + it is situated in a car park and even with closed windows on the 5th floor comings and goings were clearly heard. The sheets on our bed did not tuck in and it was a small double.
Tip, if moving on the next day then pack your bags and check them in and then come back and have breakfast - it is only 300 yards to the check in desks and you can go early and avoid the crush.

We arrived late in the evening at Lima airport and had to leave the next morning so this hotel was great for us. It is literally just outside the exit of the Lima airport (a two minute walk). The rooms were large and reasonably clean. We got a free Pisco sour on arrival but were charged $3 for a bottle of water. Expensive but very convenient for air travel.

Ok, it's in the airport area, so its really easy when you arrive in the evening and that your connecting flight is in the morning. Other good point for them: the room are big (However, normal size for such kind of hotel!)
But for the rest... the price is really expensive for Peru! For such a price, they could have a beter isolation between the rooms: since you have movement in the hotel 24h a day, you can hear your neightbours taking their shower... The windows are typical peruvian windows, so no isolation at all, you will hear the traffic outside all the night. The breakfast seems great when you enter the dinning room, but when you get closer, you are quickly disappointed... So, try to arrange your connection so that you won't need this hotel!

This is not by any means nice hotel. The only thing it does have going for it is that it does have air conditioning. I had reservations for s/ 199 per night. That would have been around 74.00 US (and that would have been too much). The rooms were filthy. They instead charged me 219.45 US. They would not correct it. Breakfast, I havent seen it yet. The next time I came thru I simply slept in the airport.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 29, 2012

This hotel is located across the road from Lima's International Airport. It is accessible from the terminal(for both domestic and international flights) at the International section of Terminal Building. One can cross the road or enter across a bridge from first floor of Terminal Building if arriving on a Domestic Flight.

We had to use this hotel twice for overnight stays so we could make a early morning domestic connection and an international connection some ten(10) days later.

The rooms are quite large, were clean and provide guests with what is needed for an overnight stay. Staff were good. We had room service both times and the food was delivered quickly and was tasty. As such we cannot comment on the restaurant. Breakfast, which was included in our room rate, was a buffet(from 5:00am) with hot and cold food. Was quite good considering it is catering for a very international clientele and meeting all the different needs.

One room at rear(away from terminal) and one at front(facing terminal and road)
It seemed generally that it was business people, people like us doing private tours and very small tour groups.

The hotel is also very convenient for the following reasons :

Location At the airport
Checkin. Domestic Flights(comments only relate to LAN as we flew with them).
If one is traveling on a domestic flight from this airport first thing next morning please make sure you get a boarding pass from one of the automatic ticketing/boarding pass machines at the domestic end of terminal the prior evening.
If your flight is before 9:00am go to domestic check in at say 6:00am with your boarding pass(do not check out of hotel) and check your luggage in. One can go straight to luggage check in counter as you have a boarding pass.
Please be assured the airport is extremely busy(especially domestic flights) in the early hours of the morning(from 5:00am) and the queues for automatic boarding passes are as long as are those with no boarding passes who also are trying to checkin to get their boarding passes.

On completing checkin of luggage go back to hotel and have breakfast quietly and slowly.

Note : going to boarding gate can also be a little slow in mornings. We needed thirty(30) minutes to get through security for 8:00am flight but still we had one(1) hour for breakfast.

International Flights(Flying with LAN again)
No boarding pass this time as system did not allow us to print one.
However, being International the queue was not long so we were checked in quickly and headed back to hotel for breakfast.
Again need to be early. For a 9:00am we checked in at 6:00am

It should be noted the porters at the hotel informed us the above was best way to get a quick checkin done and it does work.

Unnecessary Luggage.
For our domestic flight we left a suitcase each at the hotel and picked them up on our return to Lima. Worked well.

If one is staying overnight in Lima then this hotel is extremely convenient for eating, sleeping and airline checkin.

If one is staying in Lima then this hotel might not be the one as it is out of town.

We saw groups checking who stayed downtown and they were at the airport before we
went to check in.

As an aside and nothing to with hotel one needs to be aware of the process of transferring from one domestic flight to another in Lima Airport. For example, ours was LAN flights Cuzco - Lima - Iquitos on the same day.

As of late January 2012 there is no domestic transfer desk.
One has to exit the domestic terminal as an arrival through the arrivals and luggage hall, walk through the terminal till one can get to an escalator that goes to the first floor, then proceed to boarding entrance area, show documents, go through security and then locate your gate for your next flight. This may take up to 20 minutes(fortunately we knew where to go on first floor). So if your flight arrives late and there is only 30 minutes between flights it may be cutting it fine.

Room Tip: Try and get room at back. Front rooms face terminal and noise from cars is a little annoying

Stayed there one night en route Iquitos to Cusco. Service was competent and not unfriendly.

Had to be up by 3 AM to check in for early flight, but returned to hotel for buffet breakfast, which allegedly commenced at 4 AM. By 04:20, all that had been set out was a few slices of bread, a little cheese and some cold cuts. There was no service and the cooked breakfast never appeared. My wife and I ended up having toast and a little meat. Very unsatisfactory. My wife had orange juice; I did not. We are not sure if there is a connection, but my wife was very sick (she is normally almost never ill) and had to spend the following two days in bed.

However, for our purposes, the room was adequate and the location could not have been better.

We stayed here for one night when travelling to Cusco through Lima (flight to Lima arrived at 8pm and flight to Cusco left 6am in the morning).

The hotel cannot be more conveniently located. It is across the terminal - literally 10 seconds away - so that allowed us to have a good sleep before our early morning flight. The room was clean and modern. The check –in was quick and easy. The bathroom was clean and had complimentary cleaning products. Our room was facing the entrance of the terminal and therefore you could hear people shouting for taxis. Ask for a room on the other side of the hotel if you can.

We had dinner which was surprisingly good for an airport hotel. The breakfast was included in the price of the room but it was very limited (sliced bread, sliced cheese, ham and jam). Don’t bother!

The hotel is perfect if you just want to have a sleep between flights but definitely not 5 star.

Important about connecting flights at Lima!!!! All luggage must be collected at Lima airport on arrival and has to be checked-in again if travelling to Cusco. Even if you have a connecting flight! We asked the airport information on arrival and they said that we don’t have to collect them (we already had our boarding pass for next morning), but when we got to Cusco we were left with no luggage (they were all in Lima). We came from sunny Mexico in summer clothing and the temperature was just above freezing in Cusco at 7am. Not too ideal. We flew with TACA and they were very helpful in Cusco and got our luggage flown into town with the next flight. Not just that we were left without luggage but they were left unattended at Lima airport. So make sure that you check with your airline before you fly and maybe double-check when you board.
