“A day to visit Caral”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013

It's a fascinating place. Lots of history. Signs are in English and Spanish, but the guides only speak Spanish. It's a long drive/day trip, but worth it for one visit. Not really for young children, but with a group of friends it makes an interesting day.

“Very interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

It takes 3 hours to get there, however it's worth. I just recommend to arrange a tour because it is difficult to get out/in Lima in a rented car if you are not a local, even with a GPS. The traffic is very aggressive.

Once there, you will find nice guides, only in Spanish.Very cheap fee 4 usd and 6 usd for the guide service (paid among multple visitors

“Use your imagination”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

It takes a while to get there, unpaved road, signs lacking. You must walk a while along the marked circuit, many times under sunny or hot conditions. The restoration project will take some more time to fully uncover the ruins and bring the site to show its splendor. The published books and photographs are fantastic. It is definitely a remarkable site, but will look better in ten years time.

“Amazing oldest city in the Americas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

It´s a wonderful, magic experience! an amazing setting, for this ancient city, in the middle of a vast landscape surrounded by high desertic mountains that give the whole place an astounding view. The city of Caral is a must! if you go to Lima, do not miss it. It´s located north of Lima, better to stay for the night in a hotel close by. There will be a hotel there, soon.

“If you are into history, go!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

You need a whole day to get there and return to Lima. The worst is the trip, itself, it takes between two to three hours to get there. But it is worth...if you are into history and archeology. Very well organized and kept. Very professional. Went with the kids, they enjoyed the day out..
