“Good Value, Good for Families”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

We were unable to extend our stay at the Antigua in Miraflores and this hotel was recommended to us. What a nice surprise. There is no casino anymore which was fine as we were really looking for a normal hotel. We got a nice studio with sitting room and bedroom. No street noise although located on Ave Prado. The extra space was really appreciated. A nice breakfast on the top floor was included. If we had brought kids with us, they would have enjoyed the pool. The staff was really helpful and a nice breakfast included. Would definately consider this hotel for a return visit in Miraflores.

After the prompt, cheerful service of the porter, it was downhill from there. Guests may not have an iron (plancha) - they must itemize the pieces of clothing and pay 30% of what it would cost to launder the items and get them back by the end of the day or the next morning. The dining room is open at the whim of the chef - when I went down for dinner one evening, it was closed, "Oh - he had an event.". Fortunately, there are excellent restaurants nearby! When I was bumped because of an error on my last day, they do not call around for you to help you find a new hotel room. I think they get enough tourist business that they do not have to focus on customer service. Here's your room - NEXT!!

We have used this hotel to book events (large blocks of rooms) and a party in one of their conference rooms. We found the hotel staff to be very helpful and accommodating.

The rooms are all suites. You walk into the room and there is a small sitting area and kitchenette. Walk past this and you will find a small closet and a bathroom. Finally continuing into the room you will find the bedroom. The rooms were very well equipped even with a small flat screen tv. The rooms are not the newest designs but very nice and very comfortable.

The location of the hotel is excellent. You are a block away from a very good grocery store and banks, two blocks away from Chili's and Starbucks, and four blocks away from dozens of restaurants ranging from fast food to nice sit down options. The location of the hotel is in one of the safest areas in Lima.

The hotel has wonderful greenery throughout. They have worked hard to create a great atmosphere in the hotel.

The conference rooms are ample and have many setup options. The internet in the conference room is very good (as it is in other areas of the hotel). Internet in the rooms works even into the bedroom - in some hotels you must go to the lobby or into the hallway for internet to work. Here it works anywhere (and is free).

NOTE - my review is not based upon a five star being the Marriott... My review is that it is a 5 star review for what this hotel is. A less expensive option with great amenities and wonderful location. If you are expecting the Marriott... you probably should go to the Marriott. If you have unrealistic expectations for what a $75 hotel in Miraflores (Lima) is going to be... you probably need to go ahead and pay $250 and stay in the $250 hotel.

Wound up in this hotel by accident. My husband & I were on a tour in April and our hotels were set up by the tour company. Upon arrival at midnight at what should have been our hotel, we were informed they did not have a reservation for us, even though we had a printed confirmation.

So this is the hotel that was found for us and it was a good one. Actually was better than the original. We finally got to the Boulevard Hotel at about 2 am. Our room was on the 4th floor and did not face the street so it was quiet. It was large with a sitting area with a bar, a stocked refrigerator and a wall air conditioner. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was nice and had a magnifying mirror. The room did not have a safe. Since we were there only one night, I do not know if the front desk has a safe deposit box available. I noticed the hotel has a fitness room or center but we did not check it out.

Breakfast was quite good & included different fresh fruits and wonderful cafe con leche (our first cup prepared by the waiter). The breakfast is served on the top floor of the hotel; it's an extremely pleasant setting by the pool. The hotel is within a few blocks of ocean views & Parque Amor. We walked there in the morning. Also bought bottled water at the Vivanda which is a grocery store about 1/2 block away. The store reminded us of a Peruvian whole foods.

All of the personnel at the hotel from the front desk to the doorman were very nice & helpful. This hotel was a lucky find for us!

Room Tip: Go to the Vivanda for water & an inexpensive lunch.

Street side rooms VERY noisy. Internet slow and sporadic. Gym open only from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (and not even then).

Not bad. There's no casino, but the location is good and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are big, as there is a sitting / bar area and a separate bedroom. If you're on the street side, it can be quite noisy from the traffic and buses. Honking of horns is a national passion it seems.

Room Tip: Get a room on the back side, not the street side, it's too noisy.

There is no casino at this property, but the hotel is wonderful/ The floor plan is open, so you can look up from the lobby and see all the way up to the top floor. Every floor is draped with lush vegitation hanging from the railings, so it is like being in the middle of a dense forest.
The pool was roof top, and tons of candles and comfy furniture to swim or just hang out.
The rooms are huge, with separate sleeping and sitting areas. There is even a little half kitchen with a mini fridge and a microwave.
The hotel is also within walking distance of the main tourist hub of miraflores - maybe 10 or 15 minutes.
Staff were wonderful and the stay was very pleasant.

Only con was the restaurant. i only ate there once, but would not recommend it. There are too many other, much better, options close by.
