I had to stop over in Lima for the night on my way to Iquitos and decided to booked with Casa Ana. They were extremely quick in responding to my emails and even sent out a confirmation email several days before my flight.
I arranged for their pickup service because I didn't want to deal with finding my way to the hostel at 1am. The driver was waiting with a sign that had my name on it, even after my plane had been delayed 2 hours. It was only a 20 min drive to the hostel.
The hostel itself was super cute and cozy and the ladies that run it were extremely friendly. They had bottles of water waiting in our room. They also provide towels. The area seems very safe. We walked to find food one night and didn't feel uncomfortable at all. There are a few gas stations and several food places down the street. It's in a quiet neighborhood though so if your looking to explore, there might not be much around. In the morning breakfast was set up for us which had toast, bananas, cereal, tea and coffee, all included.
The only negatives would be that the pillows are hard and if you have a lot of luggage, the stairs are really hard to climb. Luckily, I packed light.
I loved Casa Ana so much that I stayed here again on my way back out of Lima. The driver was on time again and the 2nd night stay lived up to the first. If you're looking for a safe, inexpensive and clean place to stay for a stop-over in Lima, Casa Ana is the perfect choice!
