“Very basic”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2014

Hotel had good security and helpful staff. The proximity to the Plaza was the best thing - just a few minutes walk down pedestrian streets. Hot water was "on demand" and a notice told us to contact them if we did not have any, and then it would be 20 minutes wait. Still no HW, plumber came, still no. Gave up and went out. Returned later, same story, wait time increased to 40 minutes. Finally got HW - enough for one short shower only. Wooden floor was filthy, soon had black bare feet. Not too bad on the traffic noise but during the night it sounded like someone was using our toilet!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

We were looking for a cheap place to wait for a shipment to arrive in the port of Callao that was nearer to the central area than Miraflores. We discovered this place and were very happy with all aspects of the hotel. Keep in mind that it is a cheap hotel but everything was clean and in working order with minimal noise and a good nights sleep.
BUT, the place is funky. Almost like it was designed by Salvidor Dali and painted by 5 year olds choosing the colours, very cool. Old furniture nicely restored, quirky hallways and courtyard, its not a place to forget. As always its the people and these guys are super friendly and helpful.
In short, its not 5 stars but I don't think you can go wrong.
