“Good choice in Lima”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

My husband and i stayed in this hotel overnight on our way to Machu Picchu. It is located in Miraflores district, a few blocks away from the shopping area of Larcomar. Room is big, with comfortable bed and came with a small dining area. Seems place is newly renovated as even the bathroom looked new. Check in was efficient and quick, wifi is free and fast. Breakfast is free, buffet service with plenty of choices, available
very early in the morning which worked out fine for us as we were leaving very early the next morning.

Room Tip: Choose a top floor

The stairwells at the front of the hotel are just slats so the traffic noise permeates the whole hotel. We had a room at the back which overlooked the noisy building works! Not at all pretty either! The noisy air conditioning covered the traffic noise at night. On this occasion we were at the mercy of our travel company JLA who considered it suitable.
Staff were ok as was breakfast which was good.
Would I stay there again-only if I go deaf in-between times!

Room Tip: Find a different hotel! If you must stay there go as high as you can and at the back but beware-frie...

Decent hotel in Miraflores, but nothing spectacular. Room ok, perhaps a little dated. I thought the best facility was the business centre with printer allowing me to print off our boarding passes for our journey back to UK. Breakfast was pretty good and it was only a short walk to the cliffs and restaurants of the Larcomar Shopping Centre.

Located in Miraflores the hotel is a taxi ride away from the tourist centre of Lima. But it's in a safe area and only a short walk from the Larcomar shopping centre with its great selection of restaurants with a view of the sea.

The room was a good size, clean and comfortable, with free wifi. Breakfast was ok.

We stayed 2 nights. Good location in Miraflores, the more modern part of Lima, and 5 minutes walk from the ocean. Service was fine and the dinner and breakfasts we had there were fine. Overall, a good quality hotel with no frills but we would stay there agin.

Our tour stayed here for three nights in the beginning and one night at the end. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff and front of the house staff were friendly and efficient.

However, the hot water was wildly uneven; it could scald you if you weren't careful and be freezing cold from one moment to the next.

The food service staff were fine for our morning buffet breakfasts, but the wait staff for our two evening meals were surly, unfriendly and downright rude. The food was at best bland and uninspiring, unlike the other meals we had outside of the hotel. It was as if the wait staff resented having to wait on a tour group; referring to my traveling partner, the head waiter told our waiter "give her nothing" in an extremely belligerent and rude manner. He had no idea that my traveling partner speaks Spanish and heard everything.

We would recommend eating outside of the hotel; there are many fine restaurants (most especially Amaz) within a three block walk down Avenue 28 de Julio to Avenue La Paz.

We got into Lima at about 3 AM. We were happy to just get to bed after a long flight from Houston. Check in was wonderfully fast after they made copies of our passports. One nice surprise was the good breakfast buffet in the morning. Nice staff and a good basic selection of food. Our room was nice, but the view in the back of the hotel was not pretty-a large crane and some old buildings. Of course this is not their fault so I mostly ignored it. The rooms facing the front of the hotel seemed to have a nicer view. The lobby is nice and bright with outdoor lighting and we liked the view of the main roads and 28 de Julio avenue. The best thing about this hotel is the location. A short walk down the road and you will fine yourself at the seafront Mall. This is only a 20 minute walk and you will be seeing some of the necest stores and restarants. We had a great lunch at "Mangoes". The view of the Pacific is stunning !!!
