During a two month trip to SA the proprietor of this hotel stands out as one of the most kind, generous, and friendly people we met (which explains why four months later I still feel compelled to honor him with a review). The situation: We had just re-arrived in Lima after taking an all-night bus from Mancora and were in need of a shower, a nap, and a place to store our bags. We were dropped off at Pension Yolanda with out securing a rate before hand - the perfect setup for a less honorable hotel owner to take advantage of the situation and overcharge you. The proprietor gave us a wonderful (ridiculously cheap) rate to take a shower, nap, and store our bags when we went out for the afternoon. He was wonderfully friendly and we wished we had said here when we were in Lima (instead of Hotel San Antonio Abad).
Rooms were simple, but very clear and showers were hot. There were great common spaces. The special touch was a nice library in the common room.
